Himalayan Spice Smoothie

The Himalayas, or Himalaya, form a mountain range in Asia separating the plains of the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau. The region is known around the world for the spices that are produced and eaten in the region. This smoothie blends the spicey and the sweet together for a tasty combination.

Ingredients

1 banana
1/2 cups water
1 cup soy milk
1/2 cup blackberries
1 carrot
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp fennel
1 tsp anise seeds
1 tsp flax seeds
A handful of raisins
2 cloves and one pinch of Chinese 5 spice powder

Directions:
Pour the milk and water into your blender.
Peel and slice the carrot.
Add the banana, carrot, raisins, black berries, flax seeds, and all of the spices to your blender.
Blend until all ingredients are smooth.
Pour into a mug, glass, or tumbler and enjoy!
