Strawberry Lemon Basil Smoothie

Light and frothy, yet tangy and sweet; this smoothie is perfect for when you need a burst of sharp flavors that will keep you moving throughout the day and won't slow you down. The basil here adds a nice punch and depth of flavor. There is plenty of vitamin C, fiber, calcium and magnessium in this one. It's good for breakfast time, or to round out your meal with a nice dessert.

Strawberry Lemon Basil Smoothie


1 banana
1/2 cup rasberry carbonated water
1/2 cup unsweetened soy milk
5 strawberries
4 basil leaves
1 lemon
1 tsp flax seeds

Pour all of the liquids into your blender.
Take the tops off of the strawberries and slice them up.
Wash, peel, de-seed, and slice the lemon.
Wash the basil and place the bananas, lemon juice, basil and strawberries in your blender.
Blend on high for one minute and get ready to enjoy your delicious treat, yumm!
